Robert Irwin – Trainer

Bob specialises in transforming raw information into unique images that “sell the concept”. He has over 20 years’ experience as a creative, business and technical writer in the UK and Canada. Most recently, he’s been bringing technology and creativity together to develop e-learning content in subjects ranging from supply chain management to embedded systems technology and design. In the late 90’s, his fictional detective Conrad Sultant solved the infamous MRP Murders for IBM and the Institute of Operations Management.
He’s only had malaria once, but he’s had Africa in his blood since he was ten. In the 80’s he spent five years bashing across the Sahara and through the Congo to points south, leading overland expeditions and sampling the local beers.
Before that he drove a taxi in his native Toronto, wrote for magazines, archived tv news footage and squeezed in a degree in politics and English, with a minor in cooking and golf.
